and birds will sing
by the dozen
in high
notes
of spring
but chase only
each other
in dovish pairs

sharp sting

deflect the light
from harmonic
circulation

as well
will ride/soar
the open currents
in a V-shaped tribal groove
but wed
solely
to
a single
soul
