america on the rocks — again
by Paul Cech / December 15th, 2019
belief
can mask a multitude of sins
patriotism
can conceal mountains of hate
ideology
can highlight the lines between
these people and those people
ignorance is bliss
in a nation divided
america on the rocks—again
from the whisky rebellion to twenty-nineteen
and beyond tomorrow
a multitude of sins
mountains of hate
lines of division
america on the rocks—again
