Old School
by Bruce Morton / November 24th, 2024
It has recently come to me
That my old elementary school,
Named to honor Woodrow Wilson,
Has had its name changed
To something more correct,
To Susan B. Anthony,
Because we now know
That Woodrow was a racist.
I cannot help but notice that
The other elementary schools
Are still George Washington
And Thomas Jefferson and remain
Unchanged. So, it seems elementary that
George and Thomas got a hall pass.
