A Constant Dream

Peace
A constant dream
Unfulfilled and
Now politicized

Within the disorder
There are cries for
Law and order
A catch phrase

Used by those who fear
The loss of
Control
Dominance
Prominence

Who fear the loss of power
Over workers
The needy
The poor “who will always be with you”

There is a mixed chorus of voices
Purveyors of
Anger
Hate

All parroting those who fear
The loss of
Control
Dominance
Prominence
Power
Over all deemed unworthy
Who possess dreams unfulfilled
