Reunión
To Jean and Micky from the class of 1971. Thank you for your friendship then and now.

A rush of memories
Cognitive overload
Melancholic daydreams
Force their way into consciousness
Poorly illuminated hallways
Bodies quickly passing
Adolescent heat
Neurosis wafting from the classrooms
The thrice blessed
Collecting in their corners of the gym during lunch breaks
Cruel quips for the less blessed
Buzzer sounding echoes retreat
Memories
Never fitting just right within the subcultures
Alone…
“Would you like more wine?”
