And When Truth

(Becomes a Lie)

The moment we
Realize that Truth
Shan’t prevail. For
It has been altered,
Doctored, distorted
And twisted toward
A specific outcome
As intended by the
Desired assailants;

Dissected, distilled
And augmented by
The one’s in power,
In complete control,
Who conspire by the
Hour with intense
Eyes of blazing fire
And tongues froth
With the Devil’s ire.

It’s a mistaken myth
That Truth prevails,
That this made-up
Ideal may quell the
Evil black hearts in
Men. It’s so far from
The Truth and reality
To boot. We’ve failed
So miserably and are

Our own worst enemy.
