Crackling and hissing,
twigs brittle, parched grass,
crawl through the forest.
In these flickering lights
diurnal disappointments glaringly discharge. Shaking and swinging,
vibration unanticipated,
porcelain pageantry
crashed to the floor.
Where in soil maternal
earthen sorrows once seeped,
leaves green and eternal
in love can be steeped.
