The mirror can prove to be
a great assumption to swallow
and the river’s reflection
is made of rippling wonders
though what’s really lurking
beneath the surface
might kill the buzz
something awful
and so we come with tapestries
to cover the portals softly
dream a little lucid visage
for me
and us
