Inhaling the Balance Between Dusk and Dawn
by Scott Thomas Outlar / November 5th, 2023
When the sun is out
shining majestically
and the moon’s
wafer-like silhouette
is still visible in the sky
that’s
Ahi-suma-yuta
Nature’s sublimity branded
in my heart
and the infinite possibilities
of light’s reflection
embedded in my spirit
Talia arrives
as the morning dew
with prophecies that quench
my lifelong thirst
for renaissance made tangible
puncturing through
veils and masks
to reveal
the center’s abyss
of comfort
Our language of love
keeps me warm
when autumn’s inclination
turns a blistery cheek
toward summer
