Poetry, Perambulation, and Peace

Today I went beyond the concrete and asphalt
Beyond the tree and mulch islands

Today I exploited three dimensions
Forward
Oblique left
Oblique right
Up the hill
Down the hill
Around the hill

Today my mind was free to meander
Giving direction to my limbs
Ambulatory glory amid
Daffodils
Dandelions
And daydreams

Today I went beyond the concrete and asphalt
Beyond the tree and mulch islands into daydreams about
Poetry, perambulation, and peace
