Time and Place Observation

Oak and maple leaves fill the gutters
Perhaps thirty minutes and a six-foot folding ladder and
The gutters and downspouts would be cleared
Avoidance overpowers approach

A softs chair
Good books
Music softly filling the spaces that remain
Approach overpowers avoidance

In-between a poem partially written
About political flags with a range from
The slightly disrespectful “Biden  S****”  to
Profanity “F*** Biden” awaits my attention

There is poetry in the fact that the slightly disrespectful has been replaced by
Inflatable santas and other mythological holiday figures
While the other flag waves matter-of-fact like between houses
Preparing greetings for the season

Meanwhile back at the ranch style house
Oak and maple leaves overflow the gutters
