Aching hearts
hold no place
in fortresses of steel
Machinations of logic
and force destroy
inner child joy, whose sole
desire is to heal itself
from shattered mirror propaganda
Longing for safety
within the confines
of another soul
Oil and steel bulldoze innocence
daily while singing the chorus of War
Marching and marching to drums
of disheveled proselytizers
With bullets fired into the eyes of conscience.
which see nothing but fear
