Face to Face

I searched my soul for the answers
came up weary and lacking
A lifetime spent in confusion
battered and bruised with contusions
Sometimes I feel like the fight’s lost
then wonder, who am I fighting?
War waged upon us from all sides
where can I go to seek cover?

I seek for solace in silence
but sounds of violence are deafening
Run underground chasing rabbits
down in these holes I get tied up
Layer upon layer of collusion
conspiratorial madness
I found there’s no way to escape it
come up for air and just face them

Now face to face with the demons
need something pure to believe in
The truth is stronger than white lies
grasp to God with my faith’s might
I know that grace comes in waves here
try to surf on the high tide
I may go down for a nine count
but I’ll bounce back when the bell sounds

Came to this Earth for a victory
brought both a sword and rose with me
Learned how to love with a passion
and fight with an equal fervor
They say, Hate the sin, not the sinner
Hate the state, not the statist
It’s getting harder and harder
as lines in the sand become clearer

We all are born to make choices
blessed with reason and free will
No longer safe to be ignorant
too much danger and hardship
Only the sane will survive now
enter the night with the wise owl
The Phoenix surely will rise up
This Renaissance is our future

The Revolution is turning
spinning with the next cycle
The enemy has gone all in
but our hand holds five rare aces
They have no way to stop us
just emptied their final cartridge
They’re shooting bullshit and blanks now
Humanity has Awakened
