Livid in America,
The clamor of the just protest.
The yammer incessant of talking
Heads oh, so neatly pressed.
Am I distressed?
You bet I am
Along with all the rest.
Livid In America,
The hammer is about to drop.
Politicos stammer at the state of affairs
While their buttons are about to pop,
With forked tongues that just won’t stop.
Their empty words sure seem to flip
Even way before they flop.
Livid in America,
We have come to this critical injunction
Where the will of the people are at odds
And the government has ceased to function,
Immersed in vast corruption, upon this
Powder keg in which we are perched
Primed for total mass destruction.
Livid in America,
Have we lost our vision and way, or have we
Not the gumption? We stand shoulder to
Shoulder after being betrayed with Old Glory
In the breeze waving battered and frayed,
Which is more than a horrid assumption I’m
Afraid. After the raid we must cancel the parade.
