The Avenue of Remembrance

Where dignitaries dig holes for trees
to bury truths and histories,
Once more in rows the order flows
We take our regimental pose.
But leaves above, with peaceful dove
Flags up the home we truly love.

For kings have lied as they divide
The trees true home, the countryside.
And we join in with righteous din
To hide the hate and greed within.

Remember what? We all forgot
The fraud behind the patriot.
