Gardening
by Scott Thomas Outlar / March 19th, 2017
Burning fallen institutions
and wicked systems
to the ground
doesn’t always
have to involve
a fire.
Sometimes
a few well-placed seeds,
once sprouted,
will naturally displace
that which
no longer serves a purpose
toward our evolution.
We have used
your bullshit
as soil.
We have used
your propaganda
as a path
to find the truth.
We are the wisened,
tested rose.
These ashes are our New Atlantis.
Just because my words seem wild
doesn’t mean they’re wrong.
This war is not yet nearly over;
in fact, it has only just begun.
