Contrariness
by Chrissie Morris Brady / February 5th, 2017
The world is silent about a genocide,
except those who deny it.
A dog is lost in the woods
and the message goes viral.
He is found and returned home
by dog lovers and kindness.
The people are tortured, raped, murdered.
Access is denied to aid, UN, the press.
Satellites record it, it is fact.
Uncomfortable truths are suppressed.
People die, children die, no hope.
Dogs are found, returned to love.
