Particles of Transformation
by Scott Thomas Outlar / August 28th, 2016
While we’re here
we will frolic
in these bags of flesh
These bones
of ancient
dust and DNA
this dance
atop the ash
of crumbled ivory
and while we’re here
we will sing
a thousand songs of evolution
Part II
While you were away
I was basking
in the hunger
of howling laughter
the sky was red
the sky was blue
the sky was black
the sky was amber hues of
god of
love of
truth of
light of
whatever way you want to call it in the rise
