Dirty, Happy Fingers
by Paul Tristram / August 7th, 2016
Smudging chaotic, charcoal fingers
into bottle bottomed half circles,
dust blowing the debris away.
This paper foundation
is a perfect platform
to skyscraper her imagination from.
To glide like an ice-skater,
ballerina pirouettes
and ‘Ta-da’ flourishes.
You can keep your still life
and bowls of fruit.
She’s adventuring through art,
mountaineering
the sheer sides of miracles
and abseiling with perfect
pitch and control
through the daydreams
which flourish at the heart of herself.
