I’m a Genie in a Bottle, Baby

There are murders
in the street

Puddles of blood
every night

Women getting
their nose broken

Men being shot
in the back

There are suicide
bombs galore

Shrapnel and hell
upon the earth

Violence begets violence
begets violence begets violence

This isn’t difficult
to understand

Is it even possible
to end?
