What if?

What if
Our daily illuminator vows
To conceal its splendour from us
If we don’t put a full stop to genocide?
The real question is:
Will we persist?

What if
The earth threatens to quake
Ferociously if we continue to rape
Our women?
The real question is:
Will we listen?

What if
The sky promises to collapse
If we continue to loathe one another
The real question is:
Will we adjust?

What if
The clouds pledges to abort
Her pregnancy each time its due
If we don’t preach love to one another,
The real question is:
Will we demonstrate?

What if
The stars solemnly swear to
Go supernova if we endanger humanity
With our nuclear weapons?
The real question is:
Will we be forewarned?
