We Interrupt This Broadcast

Everyone in life
needs a little levity
from time to time

and I get mine
watching political Pharisees
get worshiped as cult gods

A new dawn is rising
again and again and again
with the same campaign hoopla

The sheep are marching
always in lockstep
that’s the nature of the Beast

Everyone needs
to howl mad laughter
now and then

and I depend
on nightly crackups
cackling as the system crashes
