COICA Could Be Voted Out of Committee This Week

Scary Stuff

Rise like Lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number –
Shake your chains to earth like dew
Which in sleep had fallen on you

— Percy Bysshe Shelley, “The Call to Freedom” (1819)

My film deceptions and the works of others document the many lies and the hypocrisy that our politicians and government have foisted upon us. However, the public has begun to wake up. They are beginning to realize that 9/11 revelations will be the first of many cascading dominoes as conspiracy theory will morph into cover-up, over and over again.

When it comes to a fresh investigation of 9/11 Democrats have joined Republicans to “keep a lid on it.” They know they will also be flattened once this snowball begins to roll; their duplicity, their culpability cannot be blamed entirely on the Republicans. A great unraveling is just beginning.  When the final spin, the final unraveling occurs, the Fed, the IMF, the World Bank and Media will all be left standing and the public will then know who has been in control all along.

Much of this unraveling and the public’s awareness have come from the Internet which is the last bastion of free speech left on the planet. If Leahy’s Law becomes law, freedom of expression on the Internet could well become an endangered species. It is called Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeit Act (COICA) S.3804.  He introduced it on Sept 20 and promptly referred it to the Judiciary Committee which he also chairs. This law is being fast tracked, flying under the radar and almost in total darkness. When money is involved it is amazing how fast bipartisan support can be found. This legislation could be out of committee and headed for a full vote in Congress, with almost no input from the public, in just a few weeks. Amazing.

As proposed, COICA can blacklist, control or close down thousands of watchdog websites, sites like mine, bloggers, even You Tube for engaging in “infringing activities.” With no due process or legal oversight this law would empower the Attorney General (not the aggrieved party) to initiate blacklisting activities and prevent access to infringing sites. It is a dangerous and ill defined piece of legislation that at the very least should be publicized and thoroughly discussed in the open.

Counsel from Senator Leahy’s office was recently in contact with me. He assured me at great length that this bill was targeting the bad guys, counterfeiters and criminals that were re-selling American products or services often from abroad, a fact I do not doubt. I said to him “great,  I agree – go get em.” I then asked for an example of an infringing organization that was not also a counterfeit company. The example cited played movies and TV shows that were not authorized by the copyright holders. This example illustrated to me how You Tube and other sites could be inadvertently snared by this legislation.

Our quest to get the counterfeiters and criminals should not also give government the power to blacklist thousands of innocent sites for expressing the infringing words of others as determined –  not by the original copyright holder – but by government. The rights of the public should not get trampled by big money’s quest to stop the bootleggers from redistributing their music, film, drugs and designer jeans.

In spite of these facts and a letter sent to Mr. Leahy expressing serious concerns about this legislation from the American Civil Liberties Organization, The Center for Democracy and Technology, The Electronic Frontier Foundation, Freedom House, Human Rights Watch and others, Leahy was honored as Vermont’s civil libertarian of the year by the Vermont’s ACLU, that’s right,  the ACLU. It is kind of like giving Obama the Noble Peace Prize while he commits 30,000 more soldiers to Afghanistan.

“Doublespeak, doublethink, thought control and the Ministry of Truth”  are no longer Orwellian book terms, as Nineteen Eighty-Four is becoming a living reality in 2010.

Wake up Mr. John Q Public.

Money not public opinion drives party politics and the legislative process. Did I mention that the multibillion dollar media conglomerates of Time Warner, Disney Co and the Vivendi (a French corporation) have been three of Leahy’s largest financial contributors for the last five years?

“Terrorists Watch – No Fly Lists” does it sound familiar? And we all know how well that one has gone.

Contact Leahy.

Petition the Senate.

The power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them….To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies — all this is indispensably necessary. Even in using the word doublethink it is necessary to exercise doublethink. For by using the word one admits that one is tampering with reality; by a fresh act of doublethink one erases this knowledge; and so on indefinitely, with the lie always one leap ahead of the truth.[1] Wiki

They all do it but 5pm Eastern standard time Glenn Beck doublethink it is necessary to exercise doublethink. Just enough truth then turn it in on itself.

Without getting into the debate on a piece of American legislation, Mr Pratt’s claim that the internet is the last bastion of free speech left on the planet is untrue. Money controls the internet at least as much as it controls other media. Those who finance a website control what appears on it. Indeed, given the lack of transparenetcy in website accounts, nobody really knows who is financing what website. If I get my information from a Murdoch outlet, I know what “party line” I’m getting and can allow for that in the credibility I attribute to that information. I can’t do that with the internet. For all we know, a site claiming to defend the Palestinian cause, for example, could be run by Israeli intelligence and used to spread disinformation designed to discredit the Palestinian cause. The examples are endless. So although there is no doubt that one of the “lines” being peddled by those who bankroll the internet is that it is “the last bastion of free speech left on the planet”, there is no reason to beleive it is true. Those who sought to “control the discourse” have in fact discredited the discourse!

michael kenney took words out of my mouth. we don’t know for sure on which side these sites are. we can only conclude this or that.
and there is just too many attack dogs on some of the sites. i do not read msm anymore, but they did not allow such people to attack people.

on a few sites, u’d swear u got entrapped in a small room surrounded by goehring, ribbentrop, mcveigh, bush, obama. tnx

One of the methods zionist hasbarats use to promote their fascism is to cast doubt on everyone else. The idea is to get people so confused about what they read and hear, they will discount everything. This works to ziofascist benefit because it saps the will to act in people. If you don’t know who to trust, you do nothing. If you’re hoodwinked into believing everything and everyone is lying to you, then you don’t know how to act and don’t do anything at all. Hence, no challenge to ziofascism, inc. hegemony. That’s what they want.

This is a fundamental basic on how zionist mess everything up to their benefit.

I watched Beck yesterday and talk about one leap ahead of the truth. His show yesterday was it doublethink sort of. His guest was an expert on the tower of babel and we all found out we are brick’s held together with mortar and the forces of evil soon will make us all speak in tongues. I have to admit he did have me going there for awhile then as always’ toward the end of the show the doublethink part start’s and his guest said the forces of evil want to take away our car’s and make us ride on mass transit. Well first of all we human’s are not brick’s but a life form rather rare in the known Universe and only one of many life forms on Earth and we are descendents of another life form called apes. We human’s have a little bit bigger brain than apes and have walked the Earth now for about two hundred thousand years. We are not held together with mortar but the four forces of the known Universe.

    1. Gravity – This force acts between all mass in the universe and it has infinite range.
    2. Electromagnetic – This acts between electrically charged particles. Electricity, magnetism, and light are all produced by this force and it also has infinite range.
    3. The Strong Force – This force binds neutrons and protons together in the cores of atoms and is a short range force.
    4. Weak Force – This causes Beta decay (the conversion of a neutron to a proton, an electron and an antineutrino) and various particles (the “strange” ones) are formed by strong interactions but decay via weak interactions (that’s what’s strange about “strangeness”). Like the strong force, the weak force is also short range.

Now I did notice on the Beck show when they go to a message in black and white I might add on the TV screen comes up these massages and do they say war is peace or ignorance is strength not yet but darn close. Oh as far as taking away our car’s here in the States not to worry as mass transit is pretty much nonexistent no money in it I guess. Anyway to more important things like William and Kate and some questions we must ask like are they happy, what will the dress look like, are they vegetarians, what kind of car’s do they like, will they be good leaders, after two hundred thousands years why is it we still have Princes and Princesses, kings, queens I mean like the Fed couldn’t a computer do the same job?

  6. Don Hawkins said on November 17th, 2010 at 3:43am #

Mass transit it look’s like China is moving ahead on that part and doing a good job. Is it to late well one thing for sure if the rest of the devaluated World keep’s burning fossil fuel’s and driving cars with a internal combustion engines and yes China also and producing electricity with coal it sure is. I think China is now spending about seven million dollars a minute on clean energy and here in the States we are kind of going backwards in time and space, profit short term thinking.

    don,
i hope china does abolish weapons such as private cars. i call a car “weapon” because cars have maimed-killed mns of people. tnx
