Escaping Sadness

We can never escape
Sadness for too long;
For every song that we
Sing must eventually
End in silence. The loss

Of a dear friend typically
Is much harder then we
Thought it would be and
Now that they’re gone
There is an emptiness,

A hollowness, within us.
Death should not be a
Surprise yet it always is.
We can never escape
Sadness for too long; it’s

A foregone conclusion.
