Thank God for Distractions
by Scott Thomas Outlar / September 15th, 2024
A subtle twist
A slightly nuanced turn
A gentle nudge
A steady crawl
A microscopic movement
An inner trembling
A fire rearing its tongue
A reconciling with fate
A humble nod to source
A humming drone across the void
A whisper of fragmented dream
A crystalline wave of plasma
A neon kaleidoscopic light entreated
A begging kiss with oil on feet
A courage cradling fear in palms
A springing fountain blessed eternal
An autumn tug on cloak of dusk
A focused sigh, worn smooth and strong
