From the branches of a tree
At the edge of the table
Holding the wheel
With a cup if we’re able
On top of a street
At the head of the stairs
A foreign bomb lands
On whomever has hands.

Wei Santang is a scholar born and educated in the Far West in the second half of the 20th century.
