Cordelia Extract

Before we destroy
What we cannot
Recreate we had
Better think long
And hard and not
Waver or hesitate.

The ripple effect of
Our foolish actions
Shall decide and will
Dictate our fate as
Lies radiate outward
We had internalized.

So we best recant
That built up anger
And volatile hatred
Inside and strive for
Perfection’s template
Before it’s too late.

Once, we somewhat
Enjoyed life when we
Were young and naive.
Now, we seem to enjoy
Conflict driven by greed
We’ve organized as we

Cut down in haste the
Last Beautiful Tree.
