With winter
The poor, the old
And the decrepit
Will once again
Look for blankets;
For the better off
To give gratuitously,
And earn the name
Or sobriquet
Of “ social worker”
Ananya S Guha lives in Shillong in North East India, where he was born and brought up. He has been writing and publishing his poetry for the last forty years.
