Over the doorway was written “some pig,”
A rude thing to call people terrific.
Those who find work bear a smile radiant
Even when they’re forced to act so humble,
As ICE slips down the coast toward Charlotte
To snare those decent people in its web.
I know this cause I saw it on the web
With photos of ICE surrounding Charlotte.
I would not want to disparage some pig,
Whose fine features often look radiant,
With false compare to ICE minds so humble
They terrorize thinking it terrific.
No working people think it terrific
To look out the window and see some pig
Hanging around the street with some crime web
Menacing kids who are so radiant
(A son named Wilbur, a daughter Charlotte)
Our children whether braggy or humble.
My opinion, admittedly humble,
Denigrates criminals whose radiant
Heat that makes life hellish, not terrific,
For those who can only afford some pig
Or other cheap food, purchased on the web,
Sent out on ICE to places like Charlotte.
Gangs make life tough in places like Charlotte,
But we don’t want our neighbor called some pig;
That person does work that is terrific,
So instead of spreading hate on the web
That makes ICE cream our neighbors so humble,
Neighbors who share our dreams so radiant.
Some stories tell us a truth radiant
That can help us sort out what’s on the web,
That can keep us sufficiently humble,
That can help break the ICE there in Charlotte,
That can focus on someone terrific
And not dismiss anyone as some pig.
As radiant healing spreads on the web
And we learn to be humble in Charlotte,
It would be terrific to praise “some pig.”
