The firefighters thought it strange
No one thought they’d dare
Fighting fires is a dangerous job
You must be brave and strong
You stay up late and work til dawn
The hours are hard and long
Migrant workers take it on
The jobs that can’t be filled
Immigration says it’s wrong
Though someone might be killed
They’d rather let the fire burn
Than let a migrant put it out
A hard lesson must be learned
Immigration has no doubt
So let it all go up in flames
