After that pudgy little creep said it
That’s the way things have been. It always was
Perhaps a post-truth world from the time kings
Pretended to have semi-divine blood
And priests could save you if you just believed
Whatever rules they overheard from heaven.
War is the lodestone of post-truth crap.
Let’s spend ourselves bankrupt with delusions
Of persecution and novel ways to kill.
Networks of disinformation choke the world.
We had to kill all those moms and kids.
Someone saw a terrorist nearby, I think.
Billionaires are being oppressed because
Greedy poor folks would like to have a meal.
Virtue must squat, beaten in a steel cage
Next to its sister Justice, a woke whore,
Or else the world will end in disappointment
And Jesus will go back to whence he came.
By the way, climate change is just a scam.
Thousand-year fires coming every year or two
That’s bad forest management. Those dead people
Body surfing down the frothing stream,
Whose fault is that but God’s? He’s testing us
To see if we’re worthy of his sacred whims.
It’s a citizen’s duty not to notice
What’s going on. Don’t question anything
That might suggest the rich don’t care for you.
The golden rule is gold. That’s how things work.
When the rich have more, they’ll give back to you
A nice job, full benefits, your dreams come true.
