Amnesia
by Ananya S. Guha / June 15th, 2025
One day you
realise that immigrants
have made a silent invasion
into your land
so while cutting down
on imports you deport
Forgetting that once
you too were an immigrant
You are recalcitrant to travel
circuitous routes of history
obsessed with the present
You forget that you too
we’re a part of history
Was, is an immigrant
