The Forgotten War

The forgotten war in Gaza
Is not a war at all
It’s a never-ending tragedy
The sound of silence falls

The road to peace blockaded
By the man in Tel Aviv
Palestinians are now fated
There will be no relief

The hostages still captive
As hope begins to fade
The reach for freedom lost
The end of foreign aid

The Gazans are in limbo
Perpetually in the dark
Forgotten and forsaken
In a misery so stark

But hope will rise again
Some distant sunny day
The land will find the light
And hope will find a way
