Not Even the Old Switcheroo
by Scott Thomas Outlar / October 27th, 2024
at the cusp
of renaissance
Loki’s last trick
falls flat
a line between
reality and illusions
thick as molasses
breaks spelt grains
and we are made whole
in hallowed healthiness
a script of strength unfurled
breezy climes and autumn flags
the signpost of a crescendo soaring
transmutation under cover
now orange, yellow, and red
on branches beneath a lavender sky
the once and future balance reawakened
with order flooding the ears of chaos
