I Can Still Dream

I can re-run the numbers,
plug in variables
It doesn’t matter,
results are the same
Life costs more than
I’ve got or will ever acquire
Unless a brilliant stroke of luck,
lottery, inheritance, or
An unknown benefactor creeps from shadows,
results of the simulation are obvious
Please take that
as explanation for my irritability
