This Market Town and All The Mayhem and Madness Caught Up In It

“You REEK of them ‘Streets’
… one beer and then shower,
okay, mister… cowing hell!
Jesus, your pockets are full
of knives, ball bearings,
a Witches Knot made from
ginger hair, and a bashed-up
pack of nudes playing cards
… oh, you’ve been doing
impromptu ‘Cartomancy’
Readings for lowly wenches
again have you, sunshine?
The Police were around
looking for you day afore
yesterday, but don’t worry
… one of the ‘Corner Girls’
has ‘Held Her Hands Up’
to whatever it was… some
-one up there’s looking
out for you, jammy fucker!
Are you still a-Running-On
-Powder… or can you eat?
Eh, you’re limping again,
you’ve broken another toe
haven’t you… you know
what my old man told you
‘Stop kicking the bony bits’.
Oooh, and you’ve STILL got
‘Money’, and lots of it too
… right, I’ll quit mothering,
get and bathe, yer Bastard
… so I can ‘Welcome you
Home’ properly, me ‘ansome.”
