Melted Copper on the Cobblestone
by Scott Thomas Outlar / June 16th, 2024
Kicking rocks
dancing between raindrops
but never sad
when they splash upon my flesh
or soak these fabrics
to the marrow
What happens when
baptism mixes
with the flames
of phoenix?
That’s called a problem, pal
so grab a pail
and stir up a thirst
to see which one remains
come first harvest of the aftermath
What silver and platinum
strewn like straw over the earth
