After the Bombs Land

Humbled
By the eternal clouds
Of relentless aspiration
Subdued
By the stillness
Of broken stone
Calm
In the moment
Like a merciful breeze
Renewed
By something more
Than chance
Walking
And breathing
Through stilted time
Deafened
By the overwhelming
Chaos
Of silence
