Villainous Captivus
by Paul Tristram / July 2nd, 2023
“When I close my weary eyes
… I sense ‘brambles’
weaving throughout your
dark and twisted affection.
How come ‘kisses’ which
taste of ‘lies’ and ‘deceit’
… are far more ‘moreish’
than honest, sincere ones?
… because, I can take
or leave those little fuckers.
Where are you going
with that swagger and roar?
… get back in this bed,
and find ‘us’ interesting again.”
