It stands

The marbled ruins of love
Root me in their magnificence
Rage of impotence
Will not rise
In my corrugated heart
The massive attempt
Was greatness itself
To make a frail flower
A giant
An imperishable thing
A fallen down oracle
In the midst
Of unforgiving seas
