Nothing for Granted
by Scott Thomas Outlar / September 18th, 2022
How many times
can the sight of the sun
trigger the same sense
of excitement, awe, and inspiration?
Well, just color me
a shade of solar red
and know that I
am simple to please
each morning
as a witness to the glory.
And if the flutter
of a butterfly
through summer’s scene
feels equally majestic
both the first and hundredth time
then gladly call
me a fool
wandering happily
upon the path of magic.
