Spoiled Meat
by Scott Thomas Outlar / January 30th, 2022
Is that a plane
or a state of mind…
Sum of all parts
the sun, moon, and stars
At 41 years of age
I can safely say
that I have tried my best
to be at peace
with everyone I meet
for the past decade at least
but anyone who ever puts their hand over my mouth
will get bit
there’s enough animal instinct
left in my nature
to know when predators are at play
A system smitten
with censorship and coercion
is bloody well past
its date of expiration
so pardon me
should I cast aside
these rotting bones of the beast
and save my times of feasting
for far better company
