Welded steel

Separation invincible
body and soul
in crucible reaching
that bound with stone
welded steel
through teaching found
what we feel atoned.
Bridging soil and air
we breathe
beneath our time
those tides recede.
Within the face
reside eyes and chin
the nose then shows us
what time we are in.
