Shadows cast
Told time past
By foot we travelled
before paved streets
Words we crafted
with tongue and hand
wheels, then wings
bore them ‘cross the land
All we feel
in all those seasons
need eyes and lips
for just one reason
Love and life
with which we’re born
shall not with digits
be from our hearts torn.
