Restoration

Can the world handle peace?
When all that it has known is war?
For thousands of years, war has been taught,
its education being all about death.
Would it be so hard to teach peace?
For years hate has shouted its message.
but who has spoken for peace?
Who has attempted to give peace a chance?
Has the message been buried in obscurity?
Has the idea been packed away because
we have forgotten how to spell it?
Peace, maybe it is just waiting for an invitation.
