Darkest Starless Skies

In the heat of the
Moment when all
Passions run high,
We must stop for a
Moment to allow the
Light of wisdom to
Open the doors of
Perception soothing
Our bloodshot eyes.

Violence which has
No master as it runs
Rampant and undis-
Guised. Violence is
The external cancer
Outside our battered
Bodies in which the
Self-righteous and
Ravenous reside.

At the height of our
Torment as they look
Us in the eye, we must
Let love gently ferment
Spreading warmth that
We cry out for, that we
Exist for, that we persist
For, to brighten up the
Darkest starless skies.
