once again, tears

missiles fly
tears fall

war
once socialized is
handed down through generations
endlessly sanctioned

brother kills brother
neighbors kill neighbors
nations destroy nations
any excuse will do

god’s will
manifest destiny
tradition
economics
politics
the domino effect

“Let there be peace on earth”
is the dream of many
perhaps most

whatever the cause
the effect is the same
missiles fly
tears fall
