noisemakers

perhaps those who make a lot of noise
those who
tweet
bleat
cheat
delete
repeat
repeat
repeat

perhaps they are afraid of the dark
for as night falls
when they close their eyes
when silence fills their minds
all curtains are opened
all walls come crumbling down
cracks in the façade allow reality to slowly seep
into their psyche
they are aware of who they are
so they
tweet
bleat
cheat
delete
repeat
repeat
repeat
