Scents of Presence

(for MEN after 40 years)

Vineyard Tears

Small passages,
narrow corridors,
accumulated pain.
Running rivers,
drying mountains,
long awaiting rain.
Between the rocks,
among the trees,
stranded fish
search for the sea.

Expanding channels,
wider waves,
bearing gentle sails.
Short messages,
bursting thought
borne uncensored mail
between the hands
among those loved,
a fruit-filled dish
shared smiles to see.
