Justice for all

Where is the new age we were promised long ago,
Where is peace and equality,
Even justice for all?
The clock moves ever onwards and all that I see,
Increased corruption, lies and pure hate,
The pride of the rich,
Stops all at the gate.
Where was the revolution, did I sleep through it all,
But no, greed still rules,
And never does fall.
One rule for them, and another for us,
Forced into labour,
And punished for fuss.
Where is the end, I wonder many times,
Will we ever learn,
Or someone hear our cries.
All hope is gone, the very earth now rumbles,
The rot is too much,
The planet will crumble.
Only then will the prideful and vain,
Turn to ashes,
And peace shall finally reign.
